Folkestone
- March 2010
We have just got back from our weekend in Folkestone. We are totally
wiped out, but happy.
The weekend started with the guests being very quickly and efficiently
dealt with in Reception.
We had a welcome party in the bar so that we could all look each other
over and make it a friendly and sociable
meeting.
Alan Gregory (friday eve) was fantastic-good singer and funny and
everyone was very happy with him. We danced our socks off.
During the daytime we had quizzes, and linedancing teaching with Cyndy,
Shelly, and above all Gaye Teather, who taught some really
good dances including Alejandro and Tennessee Waltz Surprise.
Sat eve we were entertained by "Woody" ( our own Mark), who made the
evening great fun with a couple of Barn Dances, Comedy song
and a lot of his own type of comedy. He had a small "Woody" toy which
was kidnapped during the evening. This was an ongoing saga, as
we kept having e-mails and pictures about his adventures from the
person who took him. We have him back now with his "pregnant"
girlfriend.
Sunday eve we were entertained by Paul Bailey, a really good singer.
The disco went on until the early hours on every night. We had some
really good feedback from all the guests. We are doing another weekend
in
September and some have already booked with us.
A great time was had by all.
